Our story

Somewhere in my memory

I am 39  years old I been playing the church organ since I was 11 years old. I grew up in Middle Village Queens New York. I just got my associates degree in music studies this is what my degree had taught me  from BMCC college  I had learned the following Music studies is the broad academic discipline exploring music's history, theory, cultural impact, and creation, encompassing everything from analyzing classical scores (musicology) and learning performance to understanding music technology, business, and its role in society (ethnomusicology). It equips students with critical, creative, and analytical skills applicable to careers as performers, educators, composers, audio engineers, music journalists, or arts administrators, often involving practical skills alongside scholarly research.   This is what I have learned in music studies

  • Analyze scores and compositions for structure and meaning.
  • Research music's role in human experience and different cultures.
  • Develop technical skills in performance, recording, or software.
  • Connect music with other fields like business, psychology, or engineering.
  •  and what I learned in the core are of my degree
  • Music theory: The study of music's building blocks—rhythm, harmony, melody, scales, and chords—and how composers structure them.
  • Music history (Musicology): Investigating music's evolution across cultures and eras, understanding composers, styles, and the social contexts of music.

I started out playing the organ at my home parish of Our Lady of Hope in Middle Village queens for 27 years I started out as a student in the summer of 99 at the age of 11 years old. I will have my associate's degree in music studies in December I have done masses in the following languages English Spanish Polish and Italian and all Latin mass as well.  I also sing tenor as well on the side.  I am the only organist in the archdiocese to learn hip hop.
